Van Geest Nurseries have over 25 years experience packing flower bulbs, perennials, shrubs and roses for Mail Order companies. Whether it is a shrub in a mailing carton, or collating several items into one outer, we are able to supply the full service. We can also include brochures, or other printed material in the mailing carton, enabling customers to advertise other products to their customers.

For packing potted plants and shrubs, we use ‘blister packaging’ designed specifically to fit the pot size being sent. Blister packs are the ideal solution for sending plants by mail. The packaging prevents soil escaping the pot, but allows air circulation around the rest of the plant, ensuring product arrives in good condition.

The majority of bulbs and perennials are packed using our fully automated packaging machines, which have the facility to print text direct on to the packets. It is also possible to attach a picture card to the packet if required. Delicate product is packed by hand to avoid damage.

We can despatch product in bulk, ready boxed  in a suitable mailing carton which merely requires a mailing label to be attached, we can supply in ready counted units, or even loose, for a customer to collate their own order. Delivery will be on either pallets or Danish Trolleys, according to the product.
